Current services do not provide a holistic system that helps create a simpler shopping and meal prep experience. 

As it was a personal project, I was in charge of user and market research, journey mapping, concept sketching and wireframing. I also designed the final prototype screens based on the results gathered from user testing and competitor analysis.

After conducting market research and evaluating my initial ideas, I chose to explore more of the forms that were cubic and curved as they provided a safer experience for babies and were suitable for the intended component layout. Furthermore, they exhibited the intended aesthetic based on the moodboard.

Illustrations

Using Adobe Illustrator, I illustrated different forms and facial expressions to explore different moods that the pacifier design could evoke. I also explored different compositions of the holes on the pacifier shield to explore how it may add to the aesthetic and functionality of the pacifier.

The Design Journey

After defining the problem, it was important to consolidate the needs of the parents and understand what to prioritise in order to make a better and more efficient app for them to track their child's respiratory health and take care of them.

To better understand how to design for user's needs, I conducted a competitor audit to learn about how current products track, collect and present health data.

I evaluated the apps from a users point of view and noted down what I believe is missing or not helping me achieve the user needs.
